Liz's story

In 2021, my husband and I made the life-changing decision to step into entrepreneurship—just two months after celebrating his remission from testicular cancer. That season reminded us how short life is and how important it is to pursue work that lights us up and creates an IMPACT.

We co-founded our first company together that year, and after gaining valuable experience in running a business, we purchased Storage Theory on July 1, 2024. One month later, I left my corporate career to dedicate myself full-time to growing the company alongside my husband.

Storage Theory creates clever, problem-solving home organization products that make everyday life easier. As entrepreneurs, we’re passionate about bringing products to market that help people save time, stay organized, and make their house truly feel like a HOME.

This business is more than a livelihood—it’s a way for us to build something meaningful together, create local jobs, and reinvest in our community. We’ve faced the challenges of inventory costs, marketing, and scaling operations, but we remain committed to reinvesting every dollar back into growth.

Our vision is to expand Storage Theory’s reach across retail channels, introduce new innovative products like a floating shelf, and continue creating solutions that make a real difference for our customers. With Kiva’s support, we can take our next big step toward that vision and build a stronger foundation for the future.
