Wildrose
A loan of $4,500 helps this family business offer pre-packaged popcorn to Viroqua by the holidays.

Wildrose's story
Before opening Plenty, my husband Tomas and I made our livings working with with small businesses, musicians, and artists in lots of creative ways. We met in 2012 while improvising a feature-length film about a time traveling bicycle, and have been making weird art together ever since. Over the years, I developed my skills as a graphic designer, muralist, and sales person while Tomas honed his as as a video editor, director, and logistics coordinator.
With Tomas’s keen taste buds, my retail know-how, and our desire to offer something of value to our community came together when we opened Plenty in March 2024. The name is a tongue-in-cheek reference to our size (only 8 feet wide) as well as our light popcorn fare, but it’s also a heartfelt statement of our idea that we want to put out into the world: that there is, in fact, enough in this world for everyone.
While selling a bag of popcorn isn't a big deal, the conversations and connections we make with our community are. We view our interpersonal connections as the most important part of our work, and it's what motivates me to open up every day. If you’ve ever had a long conversation alongside your tasty snack at Plenty and felt a little better afterwards, that was the whole point.
