Volunteer opportunities
From translating loan profiles to reviewing stories for accuracy, volunteers play a critical role in bridging the language gap. Help us tell borrower stories so people can get the resources they need from the global Kiva community.
Editors
If you love English grammar or consider yourself a language enthusiast, you can support Kiva's mission as a volunteer editor.
Translators
If you are proficient in English plus French, Portuguese, Russian, or Spanish, you can use your skills to help translate borrower stories as a volunteer translator.
Team Leaders
Volunteer team leaders are essential in guiding teams of up to 35 volunteer translators or editors.

Access to a computer and an internet connection
*Not supported on mobile or tablet
Commitment to 2 hours per week for a minimum of six months
Proficiency in English, and for translators, also French, Portuguese, Russian, or Spanish
Willingness to learn Kiva’s policies and review loan profiles for compliance
