Ana Rosa and her family live in Montecristi, known for its crafts made from toquilla straw, wicker, piquigua fiber and wood, and its fine toquilla straw hats known around the world as the "Panamá Hat", well-known throughout the whole country and outside of it.
Ana Rosa, together with her son, are owners of a tanker which contains potable water that they sell to their customers and various factories in Manta. She also sells dried beans and fresh peanuts from her home. She packages these items and distributes them in small cases, which she also offers to stores and retailers.
This loan will be used to pay for maintenance on their tanker as well as to buy peanuts, lentils, packaging bags, etc.
